February 2025 Classes: Opening Month
Join us for our exciting STEAM classes designed for two age groups: 7-10 and 11-14. Classes are drop-off enrichment classes. Each class is $25 and lasts an hour and a half, providing ample time for engaging lessons as well as socializing and play. Spaces are limited, so don't miss out!

February 11, 2025 and February 13, 2025: Lego Engineering Challenge
Students will have the opportunity to engage in a thrilling engineering challenge using Legos. Each participant will put their creativity and problem-solving skills to the test as they design and build innovative structures or machines. Working in teams, they will collaborate to brainstorm ideas, plan their projects, and ultimately construct their Lego creations. The challenge not only fosters teamwork and communication but also encourages critical thinking and hands-on learning. Students will learn about basic engineering principles while having fun with these versatile building blocks. As they compete for the title of best design, they will gain valuable experience that inspires a lifelong interest in engineering and technology. This class promises to be an engaging and educational experience for all students involved.

February 4, 2025 and February 6, 2025: Introduction to Robotics/Coding
Students will embark on an exciting journey into the world of coding and robotics through hands-on experience with Ozobots. These small, smart robots will serve as the perfect introduction to programming concepts, allowing students to engage in creative problem-solving and logical thinking. As they learn to code by drawing paths and using color codes, they will witness firsthand how their instructions come to life through the movements of the Ozobots. This interactive approach not only fosters a deeper understanding of technology but also encourages teamwork and collaboration among peers.
February 18, 2025 and February 20,2025: Snap Circuits
Students have the opportunity to unleash their creativity by crafting unique projects using a diverse range of materials. From colorful paper and fabric to recycled items and natural elements, the possibilities are endless. Each session begins with a brief introduction to the tools and techniques available, encouraging students to explore their artistic potential. As they work on their individual creations, they learn valuable skills such as problem-solving, teamwork, and resourcefulness. The supportive environment fosters collaboration, allowing students to share ideas and inspire one another. At the end of each class, they proudly take home their handcrafted treasures, serving as a testament to their imagination and hard work. This makerspace experience not only cultivates creativity but also instills a sense of accomplishment and joy in the art of making.
Students will delve into the fascinating world of electronics by working with snap circuits. Through hands-on activities, they will explore fundamental concepts of circuits, such as current, voltage, and resistance. As they assemble various projects using colorful snap-together components, students will gain a practical understanding of how circuits function and the importance of each part. This interactive learning experience fosters creativity and critical thinking, allowing students to experiment and troubleshoot their designs.

Beginning in March, we are excited to launch our project-based hybrid homeschool sessions, designed to provide a dynamic and engaging learning environment for students. These sessions will incorporate hands-on projects and collaborative activities, allowing children to explore STEAM concepts in a fun and interactive way. Consequently, to accommodate this new schedule, our drop-off STEAM enrichment classes will now be held exclusively on Mondays. This change will allow us to focus our resources on delivering high-quality educational experiences during our hybrid sessions while ensuring that students continue to thrive in their STEAM learning. We look forward to welcoming families to this innovative approach to homeschooling!

March 3, 2025: Chain Reactions
Students will embark on a hands-on journey to create intricate chain reactions using a variety of materials. March 10, 2025: Slime Science
Students will delve into the fascinating science of slime, exploring its unique properties and the chemistry that makes it so intriguing. Through hands-on experiments, they will discover the different ingredients that contribute to slime's texture and elasticity, learning about polymers and chemical reactions along the way. Each student will have the opportunity to create their very own customized slime, choosing from a variety of colors and additives to make it truly special. By the end of the class, not only will they have gained valuable scientific knowledge, but they will also take home a fantastic slime creation that they can show off to family and friends. This fun and educational experience promises to spark curiosity and creativity, making science come alive in an engaging way.

March 24, 2025: Circuit Art
Students will delve deeper into the fascinating world of circuits, gaining hands-on knowledge that combines science with creativity. They will engage in exciting projects that allow them to design and construct art pieces that light up, merging technology with artistic expression. By experimenting with various materials and components, students will not only enhance their understanding of electrical circuits but also unleash their imagination. March 31, 2025: Marbles
In this exciting hands-on activity, students will embark on a creative journey as they build their own marble runs and design intricate marble mazes. Utilizing various materials, they will explore concepts of physics and engineering, experimenting with angles, slopes, and gravity to see how their marbles navigate through the pathways they create. This project not only fosters teamwork and collaboration as students work together to brainstorm and test their designs but also encourages problem-solving skills as they troubleshoot and refine their mazes for optimal marble movement. Whether they choose to create simple tracks or elaborate, multi-level mazes, this engaging experience will spark their creativity and enhance their understanding of motion and design principles in a fun and interactive way.
