

Brighten Learning Center Monthly STEAM Program (Ages 7–10)
Inspiring curiosity through hands-on, project-based learning!
Our Monthly STEAM Program is designed to engage students ages 7–10 in meaningful, themed learning experiences that spark creativity and critical thinking. Each month focuses on a new science-based topic and weaves together reading, writing, math, science, and art through collaborative, hands-on projects.
Lessons build from week to week, encouraging students to explore concepts deeply and present their learning through activities, creations, and occasional presentations. All work is completed at Brighten—no homework required!
From exploring outer space and weather patterns to diving into life cycles, human anatomy, and even dinosaurs, our program brings STEAM to life in a fun, engaging way that keeps kids excited to learn!
🔬 2025 Monthly STEAM Units (Ages 7–10)
Tuesdays | 9:30–11:30 AM | $30/week (paid monthly)
Project-based, hands-on learning that integrates reading, writing, math, science, and art.
August – Matter
Explore the building blocks of everything! Students will investigate solids, liquids, and gases through experiments and creative projects.
September – Human Body
Discover how the body works from head to toe. Learn about organs, body systems, and how we stay healthy through engaging models and demonstrations.
October – Weather & Seasons
From rain clouds to blizzards, students will explore the science behind weather patterns and seasonal changes using real-world data and art.
November/December – Animals & Habitats
Dive into ecosystems around the world and learn how animals adapt and survive in their environments. Students will create models and presentations of unique habitats.
January – Space
Blast off into the solar system! Students will study planets, stars, and space exploration while creating their own imaginative space missions.
February – Dinoscience
Step back in time to the age of dinosaurs! Explore fossils, prehistoric environments, and scientific theories in this paleontology-focused unit.
March – Survival Science
Can you survive in the wild? Students will learn basic survival skills, explore animal adaptations, and design tools for extreme environments.
April – Life Cycles (Plants & Animals)
From seed to flower, egg to adult—students will explore the stages of life through scientific observation, journaling, and hands-on experiments.
May – Oceans
Dive deep into the wonders of the sea! Students will explore marine life, ocean zones, and conservation through science, art, and storytelling.
