Project Based Learning Ages 8-11

At Brighten Learning Center, our Project-Based Learning program for ages 8–11 is designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning. Through engaging, hands-on projects, students explore real-world topics while developing critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Rather than simply learning about a topic, students become active participants in the learning process. Each project is centered around a meaningful challenge or goal that encourages students to research, design, create, test, improve, and share their work. Along the way, they build confidence, independence, and perseverance while making connections across multiple subject areas.

Projects may incorporate science, technology, engineering, art, math, storytelling, entrepreneurship, and design, giving students opportunities to explore their interests while developing valuable academic and life skills.

Classes meet once a week on Tuesdays, with two available class times: 9:30 AM–11:30 AM or 12:30 PM–2:30 PM. Each two-hour session provides ample time for students to collaborate, create, and dive deeply into exciting long-term projects.
