Project-Based Learning (Ages 11–14)

At Brighten Learning Center, our Project-Based Learning (PBL) classes offer students ages 11–14 a dynamic way to learn by doing. Each class is built around exciting projects that integrate research, reading, writing, math, and STEAM-concepts, helping students apply academic skills to real-world challenges.

Students in our PBL classes:

Create and Innovate: Design video games, build cardboard arcades, produce green screen films, and more.

Think Critically: Solve problems, analyze information, and develop creative solutions.

Collaborate: Work in small groups, sharing ideas and building teamwork skills.

Present with Confidence: Most classes conclude with a presentation or family showcase, where students proudly share their projects.

Learn Hands-On: All materials are provided, and projects are completed during class—no at-home work required.

Our PBL classes are perfect for middle school learners who thrive on creativity, exploration, and meaningful learning experiences. Led by passionate educators, each project nurtures curiosity, builds confidence, and makes learning truly engaging.

Plan, film, and edit your own animated LEGO short film.

🧩 Escape Room Design

Create puzzles and design an immersive escape room challenge.

🔬 Anatomy Lab & Dissections

Explore real-world biology through guided labs and dissections.

📽️ Green Screen Time Machine

Travel through time by writing scripts, researching history, and creating videos with green screen technology.
